The First International Symposium - Cancer and Chronic Disease Care: Adjunctive Tools for Diagnosis and Prevention was held

The First International Symposium – Cancer and Chronic Disease Care: Adjunctive Tools for Diagnosis and Prevention was held on 16 February 2019 at the Charles K. Kao Auditorium, Hong Kong Science Park.

It was an honour to collaborate with The University of Hong Kong to organize the event. Globally well-known professors and doctors are invited to be our guest speakers. This includes Professor Peter Thomson, the Clinical Professor and Head of the Discipline of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in The University of Hong Kong; Professor Alfred K. Lam, world-renowned anatomical pathologist and the Foundation Chair Professor in Griffith University, Dr. Vince Gao, Founder and CEO of Govita Tech Ltd; Dr. Justin Curtin, Specialist Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon in Medicine and Dentistry; Professor Michael G. Irwin, Professor and Head of the Department of Anesthesiology in The University of Hong Kong. Their lectures cover early diagnosis of cancer through molecular testing and biomarker approach, therefore using less invasive methods in the early treatment of disease.

Dr. Vince Gao, our CEO, has mentioned that establishing the correlation between genetic and metabolic profile of a person and disease phenotype will yield novel insights for the development of advanced therapeutics in the treatment of chronic disease. He also introduces GMDAITM (Genetic Metabolic Data Associated Intervention), a novel approach in health management by Govita, which combined genetic and metabolic test results, uses artificial intelligence to formulate personalized intervention.
